WATCH: How to shoot a break barrel masterclass!
Airgun World15 June 2022
Three short videos on how to load a break barrel air rifle, how to shoot it, and how to follow through the shot. Created for beginners, but useful for all!
Combined, the three short airgun films provide a solid starting point for complete beginners to airgun shooting, and may even be useful to those more seasoned shots as a little reminder of correct technique.
Starting at the very beginning, with how to load a break barrel air rifle properly and safely, the series moves on to demonstrate the correct technique for shooting a springer, and expands on that in the third epsiode with a short tutorial on following through the shot for maximum accuracy.
If you’ve never shot an air rifle before, you’re in the right place to learn! If you’ve shot for years but are experiencing the odd accuracy issue, it can be very useful to remind yourself of the basic “nut behind the butt” techniques that could be the cause, before moving into the realms of endless pellet testing.
Our airgun guru for the series – Airgun World editor Terry Doe – is a lifelong shooter who has shot competitively and is keen to share his lifetime of learning with new and experienced shots alike.
